Washington's Farm to Food Bank page offers a more concrete set of numbers behind food rescue work. The Washington State Department of Agriculture says the program supported efforts to reduce food waste, build relationships with agricultural producers, and move donated produce through hunger-relief sites across the state. The page also points to hundreds of thousands of pounds of produce being rescued over the program period.

For Community Harvest, that is the headline: rescue work gets much more real when logistics, packaging, transport, and partner relationships are actually funded. The produce does not move itself. Systems do.
